Loved this. Yes the magnificent works in Churches, now mainly for the tourist to view, are awesome. Awesome, a word (I think) that applies to us seeing God more clearly in “awesome wonder” as we look at his creation and creativity. A lot of the art was of course about Patrons and money but wow how we have been blessed by their God given talent to produce such masterpieces. How do we get it back? …..I don’t know.
